Ten years ago, psychology professor Walter Sinclair conducted an ethically dubious experiment at a midwestern university, ending in the death of one of his subjects. Having sunk into a pit of alcoholic depression, haunted by his past, and desperate to discover the error of his methods, Dr. Sinclair’s only hope for redemption lies in the completion of his work - an empirical test for latent psychopathic tendencies. When TA Mark Hammond administers the test anonymously to Sinclair’s Abnormal Psych class, one test comes back positive. Both teacher and assistant dismiss the results - until Sinclair’s students begin turning up dead on campus. Now, Sinclair must find the murderer and prove the validity of his test, in order to salvage his career and his sanity.
